Description

The Premier NXT GEN Marching 14″ x 12″ High Tension Snare Drum & Top Snare is a great sounding marching snare drum. This marching snare has been designed with performing marching drummers in mind to provide a reliable and great sounding instrument. The free-floating construction prevents unwanted sounds by eliminating the metal to wood contact on the shell of the snare. This marching snare drum includes snare wires underneath the top head as well as the bottom head. This provides a much more prominent snare tone – perfect for marching drummers. Crafted with a shell size of 14″ x 12″ and made from basswood this drum delivers a rich and resonant sound that carries well in outdoor settings. The smooth white 1-ply batter head ensures excellent responsiveness and projection allowing you to create powerful and precise beats. In addition to this the die-cast hoops add exceptional rim shot tones and offer superior tension retention during performances. This marching snare drum is supplied as a complete outfit including a lightweight marching drum harness and drumsticks. Please note: High tension is not possible with the included head – for this you require one of the special “High Tension” heads.

Drums

Drums is the main JustDrums category for core acoustic and electronic instruments, including kits, shell packs, snare drums, bass drums, toms and electronic drum kits. Compare the complete configuration, sizes, shell or pad construction, heads, hardware, module, triggers and connections according to the product type. A shell pack may need cymbals, stands, pedals and a throne, while an electronic kit may need a monitor or headphones. Use the specific child category and product specification to confirm what is included before comparing prices or sound.

Snare Drums

Snare drums provide the sharp backbeat and articulate ghost-note response at the centre of many drum kits. Compare diameter and depth, shell material, hoops, heads, snare wires, strainer, throw-off, butt plate and tuning range. Metal, wood and hybrid shells can produce different combinations of attack, body, sensitivity and projection, while depth affects the balance between response and weight. Check whether the listing includes a case, stand or replacement parts. The best choice depends on the drummer’s tuning, touch, music and the rest of the kit.
