Description

Gibraltar Hardware Bass Drums – Hardware Kick Drum Pedals The Gibraltar 6000 Series Single Bass Drum Pedal Chain Drive has everything the performing drummer would expect from a high-class pedal. An ergonomically shaped pedal board allows for any technique to feel at home and effective with a double chain cam drive providing the power to strike the drum. A dual-sided beater provides quick tonal changes – a hard felt offers a softer attack and warmer tone whilst the plastic offers smack and impact.Retractable spurs keep the base plate sturdy and stable on a range of surfaces whilst a side-mounted clamping mechanism makes fitting and removing the pedal easier. To aid in playability the height of the pedal board and spring tension can be independently adjusted – suiting the players style rather than the other way around.

Drums

Drums are the rhythmic backbone of modern music, providing pulse, energy, and structure across countless styles and genres. From acoustic drum kits and marching drums to hand percussion and electronic systems, drums are designed to be played physically and expressively, responding directly to touch, technique, and dynamics.

Acoustic drums are built from shells, heads, and hardware that work together to shape tone, volume, and sustain. Different sizes, materials, and tunings allow drummers to create sounds ranging from deep and powerful to tight and articulate. Electronic drums expand this further by offering volume control, sound variety, and integration with recording and digital music systems.

Drums are used in live performance, recording, education, and practice, making them one of the most versatile instrument families in music. Whether played softly or with force, alone or as part of a full band, drums play a central role in driving rhythm, supporting musicians, and shaping the feel of a piece of music.

Bass Drum

The bass drum is the low-frequency engine of a drum kit, providing the weight and pulse that anchor the rhythm and drive the music forward. Played with a foot pedal, it works closely with the bass line to define groove and timing, with tone shaped by drum size, head choice, tuning, and muffling. From deep, resonant thumps to tight, punchy attack, the bass drum is central to the feel and impact of almost every style of music.
