By hitting the rubberised clutch with a drumstick you drop the top cymbal and produce a closed hat. Stepping on the pedal allows the clutch to attach itself and reengage into its original position letting you carry on playing seamlessly while sonic transitions happen around you. Fitting onto any 7mm hi-hat rod this highly universal clutch is supported by a lower locking nut with a square-head bolt to provide security and reliability in any scenario.
