Woods and Construction:
The beech shell produces a fat tone with lots of low-end, giving a deep sound – ideal for funk or electronic music. The relatively small 13” x 5” size however keeps the snare sounding punchy and defined, and will still stand out in a busy mix.
The beautiful Tineo outer shell is finished in a high gloss lacquer, and combined with the timeless chrome-finished hardware, you get an elegant-looking snare that matches its incredible tone.
Dual Glide System:
The Dual Glide System snare strainer is a great feature of the Artist Series snares. This mechanism provides a precise and smooth action when placing the snare wires in “on” or “off” position, and ensures that there are no annoying buzzing sounds produced when doing so.
The strainer and butt sides are also both armed with a fast-release snare wire detach function. This means that you can easily change the resonant head without having to loosen and adjust the Snare wires. A very ergonomic feature indeed.

The main feature of this Artist Snare Drum is the massive 27ply (and hence 28 mm thick) beechwood shell, this gives the snare a "hefty" sound. It is deep, with lots of "bottom", and yet transparent. Well suited for funk, fusion, jungle or electronic beats.
