Description

The PDP Concept Select 14″ x 5″ Aluminium Snare Drum bridges the gap between modern build quality and vintage aesthetics. It is crafted from a 3mm seamless aluminium shell and is fitted with beautiful walnut hoops to provide a focused dry tone with a controlled sustain. The PDP Concept Select Aluminium Snare also boasts a DW MAG throw-off allowing you to drop the snare wires smoothly quickly and without any strainer buzz – providing the perfect tone immediately. The 5″ depth creates a bright snappy natural pitch with a great projection that fits perfectly in a range of styles. Aluminium snares inherently provide an open honest sound. Combined with the organic-sounding walnut hoops the result is breathtaking. The PDP Concept Select Snare is perfect for drummers looking to complete a Concept Select shell pack or any drummer seeking a bold punchy snare sound with a pronounced attack.

Drums

Drums is the main JustDrums category for core acoustic and electronic instruments, including kits, shell packs, snare drums, bass drums, toms and electronic drum kits. Compare the complete configuration, sizes, shell or pad construction, heads, hardware, module, triggers and connections according to the product type. A shell pack may need cymbals, stands, pedals and a throne, while an electronic kit may need a monitor or headphones. Use the specific child category and product specification to confirm what is included before comparing prices or sound.

Snare Drums

Snare drums provide the sharp backbeat and articulate ghost-note response at the centre of many drum kits. Compare diameter and depth, shell material, hoops, heads, snare wires, strainer, throw-off, butt plate and tuning range. Metal, wood and hybrid shells can produce different combinations of attack, body, sensitivity and projection, while depth affects the balance between response and weight. Check whether the listing includes a case, stand or replacement parts. The best choice depends on the drummer’s tuning, touch, music and the rest of the kit.
