Description

The Dream Cymbals 17 Dark Matter Bliss Series Paper Thin Crash brings together the best attributes of Dreams two most popular lines to create a truly unique studio-ready cymbal tone. Based on the warm and versatile Bliss Paper Thin crash the Dark Matter Bliss retains the same rich complex voice and dark overtones the classic Bliss range is known for. However each cymbal is then put through Dreams proprietary Dark Matter repeat firing process. Exposed to extreme heat twice the molecular structure of the alloy is fundamentally altered creating a cymbal with a strong attack and a short dark sustain – ideal for adding punchy accents without washing out your recordings. The process also creates the cymbals enchanting smokey look making it as perfect for the spotlight as it is for the studio.

Brand

Dream Cymbals

Dream Cymbals is represented in the current JustDrums catalogue by Bliss Series crashes, crash-rides and hi-hats. The listed range is relevant to cymbal choices for accents, timekeeping and blended kit sounds. When comparing these products, check cymbal type, diameter, weight, response, sustain, projection and how the model will sit with the existing kit. The current catalogue gives players several ways to add colour and musical movement without changing the drum shells. This entry remains catalogue-led, so the individual product listing is the source for exact dimensions, configuration, compatibility and included equipment.

Category

Crash Cymbals

Crash cymbals are used for accents, transitions and larger musical statements, with tone shaped by diameter, weight, profile, alloy, hammering, lathing and finish. Smaller or thinner crashes may open quickly and decay sooner, while larger or heavier models can provide more projection and sustain. Some crash-rides offer a broader role with a usable ride area. Compare the cymbal’s intended style, volume, stick response and blend with the existing kit, and check whether the listing is for one cymbal or part of a pack.

Cymbals

Cymbals add accents, timekeeping, colour and dynamics to a drum setup. This category includes hi-hats, rides, crashes, splashes, Chinas and packs, each with different sizes, weights, profiles, alloys, hammering and finishes. Compare stick definition, wash, sustain, response, volume and how the cymbal will blend with the kit and musical style. A cymbal’s sound also depends on mounting and playing technique. Check the exact type and diameter, and remember that cymbal stands, bags and felts may need to be purchased separately.
