Description

Zildjian Drum Sticks

Here's what Zildjian have to say about the Anti Vibe 5B Drumsticks:

The Zildjian 5B Anti-Vibe Drumsticks come in a most popular size among drummers, offering a strong sound and the feel of a little more stick in your hand than a 5A.

The Anti-Vibe Series was developed in conjunction with noted vibration authority, Sims Vibration Laboratory. The benefits of Anti-Vibes are particularly noticeable on electronic drum pads and practice pads due to the vibration caused by these impact surfaces. Overall, the stick feels like you are hitting its sweet spot on every stroke. By reducing the amount of vibration present in the struck stick, it is easy to play and more comfortable for certain players than standard sticks. The stick maintains its conventional lacquer finish and appearance because the vibration absorption technology is contained inside the butt-end of the stick.

Brand

Zildjian

Zildjian is one of the oldest and most respected names in drumming, with a history that stretches back over 400 years. Founded as a family-run cymbal-making craft, Zildjian has become the world’s leading cymbal manufacturer, setting the standard for sound, consistency, and musical expression across generations of drummers.

Zildjian cymbals are used in every style of music, from rock, pop, jazz, metal, and punk through to orchestral, marching, and world percussion. Their ranges cover everything from bright, cutting cymbals for live performance to darker, more complex sounds suited to studio and jazz playing. This breadth makes Zildjian a go-to choice for beginners buying their first cymbals as well as touring professionals and recording artists.

Beyond cymbals, Zildjian also produces drumsticks, mallets, and accessories, supporting drummers across their entire setup. The brand’s longevity, innovation, and close relationship with drummers worldwide have made Zildjian not just a manufacturer, but a cornerstone of modern drumming culture.

Drum Sticks

Drum sticks are the primary connection between a drummer and the kit, directly influencing feel, control, volume, and tone. Small changes in stick size, weight, tip shape, and material can significantly affect how a drummer plays and how the drums respond.

Sticks are available in a wide range of models, from light and fast designs for jazz and finesse playing to heavier, more durable options for rock, metal, and high-energy styles. Wood tip shape affects articulation and cymbal tone, while nylon tips offer extra brightness and durability. Materials such as hickory, maple, and oak each provide different balances of strength, flexibility, and rebound.

Choosing the right drum sticks is a personal decision based on playing style, comfort, and sound preference. Whether practising, recording, or performing live, the right pair of sticks helps improve consistency, reduce fatigue, and give the drummer better control over dynamics and expression.

Drum Sticks

Drum sticks are the tools that translate a drummer’s movement into sound, controlling how hard a drum or cymbal is struck and how it responds. Their weight, length, and tip shape affect volume, speed, rebound, and articulation, allowing drummers to play softly or with power, shape dynamics, and define groove and accents. The right sticks help produce clear tone, consistent timing, and expressive control across different playing styles.
