The Tama Starphonic PAL146 Aluminium Snare Drum boasts a quick release freedom lug, claw hook, and grooved hoop for rapid drum head changes and enhanced tone.

The Starphonic Aluminium snare includes super sensitive hi-carbon snappy snares. The drum's 1.2mm ultra-thin seamless aluminium shell delivers optimum resonance and pristine performance in any situation.

A "linear drive" strainer with calibrated ratchet style tension adjustment knob makes precision tuning simple.

Solid sound; full projection; rich, resonant tone; tight, crisp snare response…these were the objectives we strived for in creating Starphonic drums. In order to achieve this, we developed a concept that incorporates entirely new hoop, lug, and strainer designs, combined with a variety of uniquely constructed drum shells. STARPHONIC snare drums are the result of three years of detailed research and precise testing.
