Description

The Kaz Rodriguez Signature Snare Drum is a meticulously crafted, limited-edition model that captures the expressive versatility and refined power sought by world-renowned drummer and composer Kaz Rodriguez. Known for his dynamic yet delicate playing style, Kaz has earned global acclaim performing with artists such as Josh Groban and Chaka Khan. This signature instrument reflects his pursuit of tonal richness, sensitivity, and visual impact.

Featuring a 10mm hybrid shell combining 6ply maple and 6ply bubinga, the drum delivers the perfect balance of maple’s articulate brightness and bubinga’s deep, resonant character. Despite its commanding 6.5″ depth, the snare responds with remarkable speed and nuance, supporting everything from articulate ghost notes to explosive backbeats. TAMA’s 2.3mm Sound Arc hoops enhance focus and attack while subtly reducing overtones, making the drum an adaptable choice for studio and stage.

Finished in a striking matte metallic gold reminiscent of a brass shell, this snare offers both sonic excellence and head-turning aesthetic appeal. Designed to complement any kit while maintaining its own bold identity, the Kaz Rodriguez Signature Snare Drum is an exceptional choice for drummers seeking a premium, expressive instrument inspired by one of the industry’s most distinctive voices.

Drums

Drums is the main JustDrums category for core acoustic and electronic instruments, including kits, shell packs, snare drums, bass drums, toms and electronic drum kits. Compare the complete configuration, sizes, shell or pad construction, heads, hardware, module, triggers and connections according to the product type. A shell pack may need cymbals, stands, pedals and a throne, while an electronic kit may need a monitor or headphones. Use the specific child category and product specification to confirm what is included before comparing prices or sound.

Snare Drums

Snare drums provide the sharp backbeat and articulate ghost-note response at the centre of many drum kits. Compare diameter and depth, shell material, hoops, heads, snare wires, strainer, throw-off, butt plate and tuning range. Metal, wood and hybrid shells can produce different combinations of attack, body, sensitivity and projection, while depth affects the balance between response and weight. Check whether the listing includes a case, stand or replacement parts. The best choice depends on the drummer’s tuning, touch, music and the rest of the kit.
