What Do Anderton’s Think:

The intention from 2BOX when designing the SpeedLight Kit was to offer drummers a latency free playing and sound experience that rivals some of the biggest names in the business. It is an ideal option for your very first drum set, but is equally suitable if you’re looking to upgrade from a previous electronic kit. Smart universal trigger tech even means you can augment and expand the kit with additional pads and cymbals from other brands. Whether it’s a new hi-hat, cymbal or extra drum pads, the SpeedLight complies with the majority of other manufacturer models.

Please Note: You will need a throne. kick drum pedal, headphones, and sticks to complete this kit.

How Will My Drum Kit Be Delivered?

Electronic drum kits are always packed as efficiently as possible – thankfully this makes for easy delivery. For a lot of kits there is one singular box with everything in, for others you might get the rack and drums in two separate boxes (this kit is a 2 box kit). Once you get your delivery you will need to assemble the kit ready to play. This isn’t something to be intimidated by, just have some patience with the frame!

Brand

2Box

2Box is a specialist electronic drum manufacturer best known for its open, sample-based approach to digital drumming. Unlike many closed electronic drum systems, 2Box modules allow drummers to load their own multi-layer samples, giving far greater control over sound, dynamics, and realism.

2Box electronic drum kits and drum modules are especially popular with drummers who want natural feel and expressive response, whether for practice, studio recording, or live performance. Their systems are designed to work well with mesh heads and acoustic-style pads, making the transition from acoustic to electronic drums feel familiar and musical rather than synthetic.

The brand has built a strong reputation among experienced players and electronic drum enthusiasts who value flexibility and sound quality over presets alone. For drummers who want electronic drums that behave more like real instruments, and who enjoy shaping their own sounds, 2Box offers a distinctive and powerful alternative.

Drums

Drums are the rhythmic backbone of modern music, providing pulse, energy, and structure across countless styles and genres. From acoustic drum kits and marching drums to hand percussion and electronic systems, drums are designed to be played physically and expressively, responding directly to touch, technique, and dynamics.

Acoustic drums are built from shells, heads, and hardware that work together to shape tone, volume, and sustain. Different sizes, materials, and tunings allow drummers to create sounds ranging from deep and powerful to tight and articulate. Electronic drums expand this further by offering volume control, sound variety, and integration with recording and digital music systems.

Drums are used in live performance, recording, education, and practice, making them one of the most versatile instrument families in music. Whether played softly or with force, alone or as part of a full band, drums play a central role in driving rhythm, supporting musicians, and shaping the feel of a piece of music.
