Description

EVANS Drums – Accessories For Bass Drums The Evans REMAD Port Protector is ideal for drummers who want tighter more controlled resonance from their bass drum without changing the feel of their setup. Inspired by Evans well-known EMAD system this external damping ring mounts around the 4″ mic port on your resonant head to refine tone and reduce unwanted overtones. The result is a punchier more defined sound thats easier to balance in both live and studio environments. The included foam ring can be attached or removed depending on how much control you need making it easy to tailor your drums response to different venues or recording spaces. Plus because it installs externally you can make quick adjustments without removing the head. The REMAD gives you practical sound shaping for a cleaner more focused kick tone every time you play.

Evans drum heads are widely used across all styles of drumming, from rock, pop, and metal to jazz, orchestral, and marching applications. Drums

Drums are the rhythmic backbone of modern music, providing pulse, energy, and structure across countless styles and genres. From acoustic drum kits and marching drums to hand percussion and electronic systems, drums are designed to be played physically and expressively, responding directly to touch, technique, and dynamics.

Acoustic drums are built from shells, heads, and hardware that work together to shape tone, volume, and sustain. Different sizes, materials, and tunings allow drummers to create sounds ranging from deep and powerful to tight and articulate. Electronic drums expand this further by offering volume control, sound variety, and integration with recording and digital music systems.

Drums are used in live performance, recording, education, and practice, making them one of the most versatile instrument families in music. Whether played softly or with force, alone or as part of a full band, drums play a central role in driving rhythm, supporting musicians, and shaping the feel of a piece of music.

Bass Drum

The bass drum is the low-frequency engine of a drum kit, providing the weight and pulse that anchor the rhythm and drive the music forward. Played with a foot pedal, it works closely with the bass line to define groove and timing, with tone shaped by drum size, head choice, tuning, and muffling. From deep, resonant thumps to tight, punchy attack, the bass drum is central to the feel and impact of almost every style of music.
