Description

Flix Drums – Accessories Sticks The Flix Rock Brushes are part of the ever-growing range of high-quality brushes from Flix featuring specially selected fibres for rock styles of drumming. These brushes are very similar to the jazz brushes with the main difference being the 60 percent increase in fibres for a harder heavier sound due to the increased weight. The fibres are extremely resilient offering a fast response which is complemented by the superior balance which the rock brushes employ. Despite their heavier weight the sticks offer exceptionally clear clarity with cymbals as well as drums. Ideal for any rock drummer or percussionist the Flix Rock Brushes provide players with a unique yet versatile approach to playing their drums.

Drums

Drums are the rhythmic backbone of modern music, providing pulse, energy, and structure across countless styles and genres. From acoustic drum kits and marching drums to hand percussion and electronic systems, drums are designed to be played physically and expressively, responding directly to touch, technique, and dynamics.

Acoustic drums are built from shells, heads, and hardware that work together to shape tone, volume, and sustain. Different sizes, materials, and tunings allow drummers to create sounds ranging from deep and powerful to tight and articulate. Electronic drums expand this further by offering volume control, sound variety, and integration with recording and digital music systems.

Drums are used in live performance, recording, education, and practice, making them one of the most versatile instrument families in music. Whether played softly or with force, alone or as part of a full band, drums play a central role in driving rhythm, supporting musicians, and shaping the feel of a piece of music.

Drum Sticks

Drum sticks are the tools that translate a drummer’s movement into sound, controlling how hard a drum or cymbal is struck and how it responds. Their weight, length, and tip shape affect volume, speed, rebound, and articulation, allowing drummers to play softly or with power, shape dynamics, and define groove and accents. The right sticks help produce clear tone, consistent timing, and expressive control across different playing styles.
