Gibraltar is a specialist drum hardware brand known for building strong, adaptable, and highly configurable mounting systems for drum kits and percussion setups. The brand is closely associated with racks, stands, clamps, and accessories that allow drummers to customise their setup exactly to their playing style and space.
Gibraltar hardware is widely used by drummers who want stability and flexibility, whether for acoustic kits, hybrid setups, or complex percussion rigs. Their racks and clamps make it possible to mount toms, cymbals, electronics, and accessories in precise positions, reducing stage clutter and improving consistency from gig to gig.
Beyond large rack systems, Gibraltar also produces pedals, thrones, arms, and a wide range of small but essential hardware parts that solve real setup problems. For drummers who enjoy refining their kit layout and want hardware that can grow and adapt with them, Gibraltar is a trusted and practical choice.
Cymbals add accents, timekeeping, colour and dynamics to a drum setup. This category includes hi-hats, rides, crashes, splashes, Chinas and packs, each with different sizes, weights, profiles, alloys, hammering and finishes. Compare stick definition, wash, sustain, response, volume and how the cymbal will blend with the kit and musical style. A cymbal’s sound also depends on mounting and playing technique. Check the exact type and diameter, and remember that cymbal stands, bags and felts may need to be purchased separately.
Hi-hats use a pair of cymbals operated by a foot pedal for timekeeping, accents and changing degrees of openness. Compare diameter, top and bottom weights, profile, edge response, chick sound, stick definition and how quickly the cymbals open and close. Some listings are a matched pair, while others describe an individual top or bottom cymbal. Check the wording carefully and remember that a hi-hat stand, clutch, felts and accessories may not be included. The right pair should complement the drummer’s touch, volume and musical style.
Hi-Hat identifies a paired cymbal system operated by a pedal. Check whether the listing is a pair or single cymbal, plus diameter, weights, clutch and stand compatibility.
