Istanbul Agop is represented in the current JustDrums catalogue by XIST, Xist iON and 30th Anniversary cymbals. The listed range is relevant to crash, ride, hi-hat, splash and China cymbal choices. When comparing these products, check series, diameter, type, weight, finish, stick definition, wash and the musical role required. The range allows a kit to be shaped from focused timekeeping cymbals through to quick effects and more complex accents. This entry remains catalogue-led, so the individual product listing is the source for exact dimensions, configuration, compatibility and included equipment.
Category
China cymbals provide a distinctive, cutting accent with a contrasting edge and fast response. They are available in different diameters, weights, profiles and finishes, from compact effects models to larger cymbals used for powerful crashes and dramatic transitions. Compare the intended role, stick response, sustain, volume and how the cymbal will sit beside the rest of the kit. Check whether the product is a single cymbal and whether a suitable stand, boom or felt is required. A China cymbal is an expressive colour, not a replacement for a balanced crash or ride.
Cymbals add accents, timekeeping, colour and dynamics to a drum setup. This category includes hi-hats, rides, crashes, splashes, Chinas and packs, each with different sizes, weights, profiles, alloys, hammering and finishes. Compare stick definition, wash, sustain, response, volume and how the cymbal will blend with the kit and musical style. A cymbal’s sound also depends on mounting and playing technique. Check the exact type and diameter, and remember that cymbal stands, bags and felts may need to be purchased separately.
