Description

The Istanbul Agop 20″ 30th Anniversary Medium Ride offers a dark warm and complex sound that is perfect for any musical style. Crafted with attention to detail these cymbals are a true expression of the ancient art of Turkish Cymbal making. With their hand-shaped bells and intensive hammering process each 30th Anniversary Ride Cymbal is a unique work of art. The added weight not only enhances the articulate sticking capabilities but also provides greater projection for a more powerful sound. The fast and trashy crash quality allows for dynamic accents that cut through the mix. Thanks to their pre-ageing process the 30th Anniversary Ride Cymbals have a distinct character that sets them apart from other cymbals. The pre-ageing process gives them a vintage-like quality allowing you to achieve a classic sound without waiting years for them to mellow out. The Istanbul Agop 20″ 30th Anniversary Medium Ride is the perfect choice for drummers who want versatility quality and a true piece of history.

Brand

Istanbul Agop

Istanbul Agop is represented in the current JustDrums catalogue by XIST, Xist iON and 30th Anniversary cymbals. The listed range is relevant to crash, ride, hi-hat, splash and China cymbal choices. When comparing these products, check series, diameter, type, weight, finish, stick definition, wash and the musical role required. The range allows a kit to be shaped from focused timekeeping cymbals through to quick effects and more complex accents. This entry remains catalogue-led, so the individual product listing is the source for exact dimensions, configuration, compatibility and included equipment.

Category

Cymbals

Cymbals add accents, timekeeping, colour and dynamics to a drum setup. This category includes hi-hats, rides, crashes, splashes, Chinas and packs, each with different sizes, weights, profiles, alloys, hammering and finishes. Compare stick definition, wash, sustain, response, volume and how the cymbal will blend with the kit and musical style. A cymbal’s sound also depends on mounting and playing technique. Check the exact type and diameter, and remember that cymbal stands, bags and felts may need to be purchased separately.

Ride Cymbals

Ride cymbals provide a defined playing surface for timekeeping, with a bell and edge that can add accents or crashes. Compare diameter, weight, profile, bow response, bell size, stick definition, wash, sustain and whether the cymbal is designed to crash as well as ride. Larger or heavier rides often provide more projection, while lighter models may open more readily and blend into quieter music. Check the exact series and finish, and remember that a stand, boom, felt and wingnut are separate unless the listing says otherwise.
