Description

The Mapex Armory Series 5 Piece 20″ Fusion Shell Pack in Blue Wave Burst brings hybrid shell technology, pro-level hardware and a stunning high gloss finish into an accessible, gig-ready kit. With a compact 20″ bass drum, versatile fusion tom sizes and the powerful Armory Tomahawk snare included, this shell pack is built to cover everything from tight studio sessions to energetic live shows.

At the heart of the kit is Mapex Hybrid Technology, combining birch and maple plies for a punchy, articulate sound with musical warmth and depth. SONIClear bearing edges and suspension mounts make tuning effortless and help every drum sing, while thoughtful hardware touches like insulated bass drum claws and low mass nutboxes keep the kit resonant and roadworthy. Finished in a striking Blue Wave Burst over olivewood outer veneers, it looks every bit as serious as it sounds.

Hybrid Birch and Maple Shells

The Armory Series uses M.H.T (Mapex Hybrid Technology) 6 ply birch/maple/birch shells to balance attack and warmth. Birch delivers fast, focused punch and clear projection, while the inner maple adds body and musical low-end. The result is a kit that cuts through a mix without sounding harsh, ideal for modern rock, pop, worship and studio work.

SONIClear Bearing Edges and Mounts

SONIClear bearing edges allow the drumhead to sit perfectly flat on the shell, improving contact and making tuning quicker and more consistent across the kit. Paired with SONIClear suspension mounts and SONIClear floor tom feet, the shells are allowed to resonate more freely, giving you fuller tone, better sustain and a wider tuning range with less effort.

Armory Tomahawk Snare Included

This shell pack comes complete with the Armory Tomahawk snare drum, giving you a powerful, cutting backbeat straight out of the box. Designed to complement the hybrid toms and bass drum, the Tomahawk offers crisp articulation and strong projection, making it equally at home in the rehearsal room, studio or on stage.

Premium Look and Practical Hardware

High gloss lacquer finishes over olivewood outer veneers give the Blue Wave Burst kit a premium, boutique aesthetic. Practical hardware appointments such as the TH676 double tom holder with new memory lock design, low mass nutboxes and insulated bass drum claws make set-up repeatable, protect your shells and help maintain tuning stability, so you can focus on playing.

Acoustic Drum Kits

Acoustic drum kits combine shells, mounts and supporting hardware into a playable setup for practice, rehearsal, recording or live performance. Compare the number and sizes of bass drums, toms and snare drums, along with shell material, bearing edges, finishes and included hardware. A shell pack may exclude stands, pedals, cymbals or throne, while a complete kit may include some or all of them. Check the exact configuration rather than assuming every photographed component is included. Size, tuning range, room space and the style of music should guide the choice.
