Description

The Mapex Armory Series 5 Piece 20″ Fusion Shell Pack in Jade Stone Burst delivers a powerful, modern drum sound with boutique looks at a working drummer’s price. Featuring Mapex Hybrid Technology shells, SONIClear edges and mounts, plus an upgraded Remo UC double-ply clear batter head set, this kit is designed to tune easily, respond beautifully and hold its own in any live or studio mix.

Blending birch and maple plies, the Armory shell formula gives you punch and projection with a smooth, musical warmth that suits everything from tight pop and funk to heavier rock. The compact 20″ fusion configuration keeps the footprint small while still offering a full, controlled low end, making it ideal for gigging drummers, educators and studio players who need a versatile, great-sounding kit that is ready to work straight out of the box.

Hybrid Birch/Maple/Birch Shells

At the heart of the Armory Series is Mapex Hybrid Technology, combining birch and maple in a 6 ply shell. The outer and inner birch plies provide fast attack and focused projection, while the maple core adds warmth, body and musical sustain. This fusion of tonewoods gives you a wide tuning range and a balanced sound that sits naturally in a mix, whether you are playing quietly in a small room or driving a loud stage.

SONIClear Bearing Edges and Suspension

Mapex SONIClear bearing edges allow the drumheads to sit flatter on the shell, improving contact and making tuning quicker and more consistent. You get a more immediate, open tone with enhanced low end and fewer unwanted overtones. Paired with SONIClear suspension mounts and floor tom feet, the shells are allowed to resonate more freely, giving you better sustain, clarity and dynamic response across the kit.

Stage Ready Hardware Details

The Armory Series is loaded with thoughtful hardware touches that make life easier for working drummers. Low mass nutboxes and insulated bass drum claws help the shells resonate while keeping hardware noise to a minimum. The TH676 double tom holder features a new memory lock design, so you can set up quickly and return to your preferred positioning every time. Everything is built to be solid and reliable without weighing you down.

Armory Tomahawk Snare and Remo Head Upgrade

This shell pack includes the Armory Tomahawk snare drum, giving you a crisp, cutting voice that complements the hybrid toms and bass drum perfectly. The factory-fitted Remo UC double-ply clear batter head upgrade on the toms delivers a controlled, punchy sound with excellent durability, ideal for regular gigging and rehearsal. Together, they provide a cohesive, professional sound that requires minimal tweaking to get performance ready.

Key Features

  • M.H.T 6 Ply Birch/Maple/Birch Shells – Mapex Hybrid Technology combines birch and maple for a punchy yet warm tone with excellent projection. This gives you a versatile sound that works across multiple genres and responds well at both low and high tunings.
  • SONIClear Bearing Edges and Mounts – SONIClear edges let the heads seat properly, making tuning faster and more accurate, while SONIClear suspension mounts and floor tom feet enhance resonance. The result is a more open, musical kit that is easier to dial in for any room.
  • TH676 Double Tom Holder with Memory Locks – The included TH676 tom holder offers secure, flexible positioning for your rack toms, with a new memory lock design that recalls your ideal setup instantly. This saves time at every gig or rehearsal and keeps your toms stable under heavy playing.
  • Armory Tomahawk Snare with Remo UC Batter Heads – The Tomahawk snare provides a sharp, articulate crack that cuts through the mix, while the Remo UC double-ply clear batter head upgrade on the toms delivers durability and controlled punch. Together they give you a cohesive, gig ready sound straight away.

Acoustic Drum Kits

Acoustic drum kits combine shells, mounts and supporting hardware into a playable setup for practice, rehearsal, recording or live performance. A shell pack may exclude stands, pedals, cymbals or throne, while a complete kit may include some or all of them. Check the exact configuration rather than assuming every photographed component is included. Size, tuning range, room space and the style of music should guide the choice.
