Description

The Premier Della-Porta 100 Limited Edition Snare Drum is an exclusive run of 100 snares designed to mark an important milestone in the history of one of the worlds most iconic drum companies. Right down to the bespoke hard case each Della-Porta snare is handmade right here in the UK and features contributions from leading drum head brands Evans and Calftone. Remaining faithful to the drum building techniques of yesteryear the Della-Porta 100 features a 5mm 4-ply walnut shell. Traditionally formed by hand the walnut plies are rolled and lapped with scarf joints. This is reinforced via the inclusion of 6mm 4-ply beech support hoops that provide exceptional strength and stability. For maximum aesthetics the outer consists of a single ply of figured walnut. This is hand finished with protective oil which brings out the deep grain patterns of the decorative ply. The inclusion of a 30-degree round-overbearing edge also offers a tribute to the companys origins. Each Della-Porta 100 comes complete with a custom-built Premier branded centenary hard case as well as a certificate of authenticity marking which of the 100 snares will enter your collection. Please Note: The Della-Porta 100 is on a first come first serve basis. Specific numbers cannot be allocated.

Drums

Drums is the main JustDrums category for core acoustic and electronic instruments, including kits, shell packs, snare drums, bass drums, toms and electronic drum kits. Compare the complete configuration, sizes, shell or pad construction, heads, hardware, module, triggers and connections according to the product type. A shell pack may need cymbals, stands, pedals and a throne, while an electronic kit may need a monitor or headphones. Use the specific child category and product specification to confirm what is included before comparing prices or sound.

Snare Drums

Snare drums provide the sharp backbeat and articulate ghost-note response at the centre of many drum kits. Compare diameter and depth, shell material, hoops, heads, snare wires, strainer, throw-off, butt plate and tuning range. Metal, wood and hybrid shells can produce different combinations of attack, body, sensitivity and projection, while depth affects the balance between response and weight. Check whether the listing includes a case, stand or replacement parts. The best choice depends on the drummer’s tuning, touch, music and the rest of the kit.
