Description

Tama Drums – Hardware Hardware Sets The Tama Iron Cobra Fundamentals Hardware Set includes a Tama Iron Cobra double bass drum and hi-hat pedal designed for maximum power and speedy pedal action. Both of these pedals include a long footboard design to provide rapid acceleration. Because of this they are perfect for faster playing styles such as punk rock and metal. The Power Glide LiteSprocket provides increased beater power and speed when it reaches the end of the stroke with the pedal housing putting less stress on the bearings for a smoother bearing motion. Much like the Iron Cobra kick pedal you can angle the footboard of the hi-hat pedal in a position that best suits your playing style. Tama takes this concept further with the ability to tilt the whole stand with one simple bolt adjustment offering you a different feel for hi-hat work and more space-efficient options for playing.

Drums

Drums are the rhythmic backbone of modern music, providing pulse, energy, and structure across countless styles and genres. From acoustic drum kits and marching drums to hand percussion and electronic systems, drums are designed to be played physically and expressively, responding directly to touch, technique, and dynamics.

Acoustic drums are built from shells, heads, and hardware that work together to shape tone, volume, and sustain. Different sizes, materials, and tunings allow drummers to create sounds ranging from deep and powerful to tight and articulate. Electronic drums expand this further by offering volume control, sound variety, and integration with recording and digital music systems.

Drums are used in live performance, recording, education, and practice, making them one of the most versatile instrument families in music. Whether played softly or with force, alone or as part of a full band, drums play a central role in driving rhythm, supporting musicians, and shaping the feel of a piece of music.

Bass Drum

The bass drum is the low-frequency engine of a drum kit, providing the weight and pulse that anchor the rhythm and drive the music forward. Played with a foot pedal, it works closely with the bass line to define groove and timing, with tone shaped by drum size, head choice, tuning, and muffling. From deep, resonant thumps to tight, punchy attack, the bass drum is central to the feel and impact of almost every style of music.
