DW Drums Drums – Hardware Kick Drum Beaters The DW Control XL Bass Drum Beater was designed in conjunction with the studio legend John JR Robinson. This tough beater provides you with a range of features to help find your tone. Two interchangeable weights allow you to position them on the 8.15 shaft freely adjusting the beaters throw to your liking. When it strikes two striking surfaces – wood and felt – provide tonal opposite tones; wood produces attack centred smack whilst the felt produces a warmer softer tone.These stand out features and extra-long shaft produce ample power and feel for any kick drum style making use of DW innovation and player focused designs. The DW Control XL Bass Drum Beater allows you to experiment change your set-up and find your optimal throw feel and sound.
