The Ludwig Breakbeats 16″ 4pc Shell Pack is a compact kit for gigging home practice busking and tight spaces. Designed in collaboration with Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson its scaled-down shell sizes make it easier to fit your drums into smaller setups and transport them between sessions. The 16×14″ bass drum sits on a riser for comfortable reach alongside a 10×7″ tom 13×13″ floor tom and matching 14×5″ wood snare.Despite its compact footprint the Breakbeats uses 7-ply hardwood shells designed to respond like a full-sized kit. You get low-end punch from the kick alongside focused midrange from the toms and snare giving your grooves plenty of definition. Each shell also features a carefully finished 45-degree bearing edge for smooth even head seating — handy when you need a portable setup without giving up familiar acoustic drum response.
